Nice looking place inside and out. I like the various stone surfaces and dark woodwork. Lots of windows.
The staff is friendly and attentive.
The chips were just advice average. Warm and some flavor. The salsa had a nice heat too it and loads of cilantro.
I had the steak on lava rock which was seasoned well and sizzling hot. Tasty and fun. It came with a choice of tortillas and I chose flour which were cooked just right and sturdy enough to eat steak from them.
The cactus salad was a nice mix of flavors. I used it in my tortillas. The guacamole was small but good. I mixed that in there too!
The tomales were huge but a bit bland. The combination meal was alright. If say the steak was the best part. -

Just moved down to Tacoma so trying to find a good Mexican spot. Chips and salsa were fine, salsa had a little kick which I like. Was looking for a pozole or tortilla soup but wasn't on the menu. Ordered a caesar salad with shrimp. Yes, I get it, probably not the best idea ordering a caesar salad at a Mexican restaurant but here we are. With shredded lettuce, sprinkle of cotija and 5 shrimp with dressing straight from FSA it was not great.
Husband ordered carnitas, pork was ok- a little dry. Beans and rice had no flavor, the best part of the meal was when we mixed the salsa into the beans.
Service was good, and overall experience was fine. Unfortunately nothing that I would come back for. -

As a fairly new vegetarian (1.5 years now), finding places who will accommodate your eating restrictions are growing. This place was amazing. I loved every moment, from when we walked in the door, the authentic culture jumped at you in the colors and décor. We were seated at a booth, which was a tiny bit snug for our group; nonetheless, this did not take away from what was yet to come.
We immediately ordered guacamole and chips and they came out vibrant and fresh. Very tasty and the salsa, although a bit on the to spicy for me side, was DELICIOUS!! I ordered a vegetarian quesadilla, which could probably feed a small family of four and the taste and aroma were pleasant and amazing. I will make it a point to visit everytime i'm in the area, thank you so much!! Double thumbs way up!! -

Things are OK here.
My husband ordered the chicken enchilada with verde sauce, and was let down. It was cold, and the meat had no flavor.
My nephew ordered tacos, and but wanted his cheese on the side. They forgot the cheese, so we asked again, and they were going to get it, forgot, and we had to ask again. He did enjoy the taco though.
I had ordered the carne asada burrito. It was mostly rice, a light layer of beans, and some meat. The little bits of meat was delicious though! I did like the fact that it comes with both red and green sauce! I wish more places would do that. -

This place was amazing! I scraped my plate and my kids enjoyed it too. The atmosphere is warm and romantic but still has a family gathering atmosphere balance. Staff was attentive and friendly! Food was quick and just right between starters and main entree. Enjoyed very much, definitely returning!
